St. Francis Advocate Foundation started in 1994 as Child Rights Organization, working to protect the rights and well-being of women and children in the South East region of Nigeria. Over the years, the organization expanded its mission to include a broader focus on women’s rights and sustainable development, and in January 2025, it was rebranded as St. Francis Advocate Foundation for Women and Children Rights. With a 25-year history of effective advocacy in social and legal services and community engagement and award of scholarships, the foundation is committed to creating lasting positive change for women, children, and youths in the region, nation and the world at large.
